The lion curled up on the incense burner with his head up and his mouth open, as if he would snatch the prey any moment.

It's an imaginary fish-shaped dragon that you've never seen before, but it's lively in its wings and scales as if it were popping out of the water quickly.

Each lotus leaf embraced the entire gourd-shaped kettle in a beautiful and balanced way.

Sanghyeong celadon is a ceramic made by modeling specific shapes such as lions, ducks, fish, melons, and bamboo shoots among Goryeo celadon.

The shape is complex, yet lively, and the aesthetic completeness is excellent.

It is Goryeo's unique celadon making technique based on Chinese techniques based on the three kingdoms period and unified Silla hieroglyphic earthenware.

[Seo Yuri / National Museum of Korea: Embracing and accepting new things to make creative transformation seems to be an important significance of Goryeo Sanghyeongcheongja and a source of cultural inspiration and life for us today.]

Until now, most of the production techniques of Goryeo Sanghyeong celadon have been hidden.

Over the past two years, the National Museum of Korea has identified specific production processes through actual measurements and computed tomography.

[Kim Jae-hong / Director of the National Museum of Korea: Simian was important in the study of the listener, but in this exhibition, we can show it through scientific analysis/ through scientific data and photos]

To commemorate this, we are holding an exhibition for the first time by collecting 270 representative works of Goryeo Sanghyeong celadon, including 11 national treasures and 9 treasures.

Beyond the beauty of simple celadon, the exhibition will continue until March next year, where you can get a glimpse of the manufacturing techniques of hieroglyphic celadon and the life and culture of Goryeo people.
