Starting next month, Asiana Airlines changed its regulations to put the carry-on luggage carried on board by passengers themselves on the shelf.
In addition, the weight of carry-on luggage will be strictly limited to 10kg or less, and any excess items will be treated as checked baggage.
Asiana said it has decided to enforce the rule because crew members are often injured in the process of loading excessively heavy loads onto shelves.
However, for the disabled, the elderly, and pregnant women, the flight attendants will continue to help with luggage reception.
