The heads of metropolitan and provincial governments have also condemned President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration of emergency martial law without ruling and opposition parties.

As the day dawned, all five metropolitan and provincial governors of the Democratic Party of Korea traveled to Seoul to attend an emergency meeting,

In addition, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon held an emergency conference separately, stressing that declaring martial law is an act that has no justification for violating the true spirit of democracy and should be punished.
