Park Chan-dae, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized Kwon Sung-dong's claim that the acting president cannot appoint a constitutional judge in the event of a presidential suspension as just a pun.Floor leader

Park said at the floor meeting that Kwon said the strange story that the acting president can appoint a constitutional judge in case of a presidential vacancy, but not in case of suspension of duty, which is an absurd claim.

He then said that the three vacant constitutional judges are recommended by the National Assembly and that the president only proceeds with the appointment process, and demanded that the people give up the lame delay operation and cooperate with the confirmation hearing process.

He stressed that it is desirable for the Constitutional Court to conduct an impeachment trial in a nine-member system, not a six-member system, to ensure fairness and reliability.
