Recently, YTN star met actor Soohyun Lee, who starred in the Coupang Play series Family Planning, in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.

"Family Planning" is a black comedy-reversal thriller drama in which people with special abilities gather as families to finish off criminals who are not as good as beasts in an extraordinary way.In the

play, Kim Soohyun Lee is the daughter of Han Young-soo (Bae Doo-na) and Baek Chul-hee (Ryu Seung-beom), playing Baek Ji-woo, a 17-year-old girl with a feisty and sensitive personality.

Soohyun Lee was an idol trainee for two years and then a model. Then, after watching an advertisement with a Soohyun Lee, the production team offered him an audition for "Family Planning."

"I've heard that a lot," Soohyun Lee said when reporters said he also looked like Daniel from the group Newzins. Thank you," he said with a smile.

Regarding continuing the "model-turned-actor," he said, "I prepared really hard. I had no fear of cameras because I worked as a model. However, I had difficulty living as a completely different person, but the process of getting through it was fun. There are many things I gained in the process of approaching the character," he said.

He also said, "Before I received an audition proposal for 'Family Planning', I was preparing because I was interested in acting. When I heard the news of my acceptance, I went to an acting academy as well as an action school and worked really hard," he recalled.

The reason I dreamed of becoming an actor was because I usually liked to film videos. He said, "I can express various emotions and draw characters in depth. The process of getting closer to and getting to know the character was good, and the synergy from relationships with many people is also good," he said.

At first, the parents opposed the actor's debut, but now they are more reliable supporters than anyone else. The Soohyun Lee said, "They like it a lot compared to what you were worried about. I'm proud and I want to see my parents smile through more works in the future," he said.

Jiwoo is a daughter of Young-soo and Cheol-hee, but she is a family member who does not get along well with each other and does not mix a drop of blood.

In response, the Soohyun Lee said, "What I want to say in the drama is that there are not only family members, but various types of families. I'm talking about the importance of family. Ji-woo is an adolescent girl. I hated my mother, but I wanted her not to look too feisty. In the end, he listens to Young-soo. This is repeated, but I tried to save all the detailed differences so that they are not too similar," he said.

As it was his first work, he must have high expectations for his next role. He also asked what role he would like to play in the future.

"I want to play every role, but I also want to play a very lovely or bad role," he said. I want to try a lot of hard weightlifting. I want to try teen movies in the 90s. I want to do a work like "20th Century Girl," he said.

"Family Plan" will be released every Friday at 8 p.m. on Coupang Play.
