Industry Minister "I am well aware of internal and external concerns..."Promotion without wavering policy"

Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Ahn Deok-geun said he will pursue an unshakable industry and trade policy under any internal and external circumstances to establish himself as the last bastion for companies to lean on.

Ahn held a joint real economy emergency strategy meeting between the public and private sectors and said, "I am well aware that there are many concerns due to the severe political situation in Korea about a month before the launch of the new U.S. administration."

He then stressed that it is important to maintain stable external credibility and that he will promote various ongoing trade negotiations and international cooperation activities without any problems and generate results.

He also explained that he will try to ensure that mutually beneficial Korea-U.S. relations continue and manage existing Korea-U.S. trade issues in a stable manner.

In an unusual move, Minister Ahn, Deputy First Minister Park Sung-taek, Second Vice Minister Choi Nam-ho, and Trade Minister Jeong In-kyo all attended the meeting.
