In Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, residents suffered from inconvenience because 1,000 households lost power due to the cold wave.

The fire broke out at a material store in Hakik-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, at around 8:20 p.m. last evening (18th).
The fire began with building materials accumulated in empty spaces inside the shopping mall, and it almost led to a major casualty accident as it spread to the villa right behind it.Four residents of
Villa were taken to hospital after inhaling smoke, and 10 people were displaced.
Fearing that the fire would spread quickly, the fire authorities issued the first stage of response within 10 minutes of receiving the report and then completely extinguished the fire within three hours.

At one point, the traffic lights were stopped and the police had to control the traffic, but the Korea Electric Power Corporation fully restored the power at around 10 p.m. after emergency work.
KEPCO believes that the cold wave caused a problem with the transformer power facility.
