Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, has started construction of soundproof windows in damaged houses that are inconvenienced by North Korea's loudspeaker noise against the South.
Ganghwa-gun has completed the installation of sound insulation windows in two houses in Dangsan-ri, Songhae-myeon, where noise damage is severe, today (21st) and plans to proceed with the rest of the houses in turn.
The first place to be installed is an old house that has been built for more than 40 years and furniture located directly with the noise generation area in North Korea.
The highest noise measured in Dangsan-ri, Songhae-myeon, is 81 dB (dB), which exceeds the standard of living noise.
Earlier, Incheon City and Ganghwa County decided to invest 350 million won in 35 households with severe noise damage to install soundproof windows.
Since the 1st of last month, Ganghwa-gun has imposed an executive order prohibiting the entire military as a dangerous zone and sending leaflets to North Korea.
