Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said the limitations of the 87 Constitution system, which allows winner-take-all and imperial presidential system, have been revealed in relation to the December 3 emergency martial law and impeachment, and that discussions on constitutional amendment are needed.
Mayor Oh posted on social media today (23rd) and claimed, "The Republic of Korea is in a state of psychological division over impeachment, and politics is rather a catalyst for deepening polarization."
He then stressed that the entire political community should start discussing constitutional amendments, saying that establishing a governance structure that allows cooperation is the way for sustainable democracy.
