U.S. Central Command bombed military facilities used by Yemen's pro-Iranian rebel Houthis to attack warships and merchant ships through the Red Sea.
The Central Command, which oversees U.S. forces in the Middle East, issued a statement saying it had hit Yemen's capital Sanaa and coasts controlled by Houthi rebels over the past two days.
At the same time, it also released a video of warplanes flying and firing missiles for airstrikes against the Houthi rebels.
The U.S. military said it attacked Houthi rebels' command and control facilities and drone production and storage facilities, explaining that they were used to attack U.S. ships and merchant ships.
It also destroyed radar bases, cruise missiles and drones operated by the Houthis around the Red Sea, it added.
