Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff "suppressing the threat of the enemy with an empty operational posture."

Kim Myung-soo, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, organized a situation evaluation meeting in the combat control room this morning and checked readiness through a command call with commanders on duty at the scene.

Chairman Kim ordered that the threat of the enemy should be contained with a thorough operational posture and that if the enemy provokes, it should be strongly punished to regret the enemy's provocation.

He also encouraged the soldiers who are silently completing their duties in their respective positions to be grateful and reassured, saying that the Republic of Korea can have a safe and peaceful New Year thanks to you.

In his New Year's address, Chairman Kim emphasized the establishment of overwhelming military preparedness, expansion of advanced military capabilities, and innovation in organizational culture, and emphasized that he should do his best to complete his mission to defend the country and protect the lives and property of the people.
