Kwon Young-se, chairman of the People's Power Emergency Response Committee, said Oh Dong-woon, head of the Airborne Division, will execute the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol in accordance with principle, and that there should be no casualties in the entire process.

Chairman Kwon met with reporters after a meeting that also served as a New Year's greeting at the Yeouido headquarters and said, "I plan to talk appropriately to the police about the execution of the arrest warrant."

Earlier, Chairman Kwon expressed regret over the issuance of an arrest warrant for President Yoon yesterday (31st), saying that it is a period of national mourning and there is no fear of destroying evidence or fleeing.

Chairman Kwon also pointed out that when senior presidential staff members expressed their resignation, the presidential office, the prime minister's office, and the cabinet all thought carefully about what is needed to stabilize state affairs and decided and acted in that direction.
