2025.01.01 PM 06:05
Marine Corps Commander Ju Sun-seok visited the Udo Guard, the frontline unit of the Northern Limit Line and NLL in the West Sea, today (1st) to encourage soldiers and check their operational readiness.

After checking the forward area at the Udo Guard's joint anti-aircraft surveillance center, Joo inspected North Korea's air defense posture, including provocations of garbage balloons and drones, and emphasized on-site and action-oriented measures in case of emergency.

It also instructed the government to expand related facilities and response capabilities to ensure the survival of soldiers, including the temporary treatment room at Daejeon Hospital in the Udo Guard.

Udo Island, where the Udo Guard is located, is one of the five islands in the northwest where Marines are deployed along with Baengnyeong Island and Yeonpyeong Island, and is a small island with a total area of 0.4㎢, but it is a military hub close to the NLL in the West Sea.
