Trump's inner circle is the biggest beneficiary of Amazon's "professional visa."

Amazon was the top beneficiary of last year's U.S. professional visa H-1B, which is a source of internal strife among Trump supporters, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Amazon had the most H-1B visa approvals between January and September last year, with 9,265 cases, followed by information technology outsourcing companies Infosys and Cognizant.

Google and Meta ranked fourth and sixth, respectively, followed by Microsoft and Apple, which received about 4,000 approvals.

H-1B, which is issued only 85,000 times a year, is a visa applied to professionals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in the United States, and companies prefer it because it can bring in excellent overseas personnel at a low cost.

Elon Musk, Trump's closest ally, insists on expanding H-1B visas, while traditional supporters who oppose expanding immigration oppose them, saying they lose their jobs.
