China says it will expand runway safety risk investigations and strengthen bird collision prevention activities to prevent civil aircraft accidents.
China's Civil Aviation Administration, Su Mingjiang, held a press conference today to introduce safety precautions following a series of recent airliner disasters in Azerbaijan and South Korea.
The Civil Aviation Administration said it will strictly conduct gas safety inspections and strengthen safety responsibilities such as administrative punishment ahead of the Lunar New Year special transportation period.
He added that he would conduct customized investigations into hidden runway hazards at airports across the country and increase the level of emergency training to prevent accidents.
In addition, it plans to accurately study the movement rules of migratory birds in winter and expand bird eradication work at airports and surrounding areas.
