Amid the attention on the possibility of re-enforcement of the arrest warrant for the president of Yoon Suk Yeol, rallies against impeachment were held around the presidential residence in Hannam-dong.

The road to the official residence was completely blocked amid strict security, and a rally for the arrest of President Yoon was held nearby.

Reporter Lee Hyun-jung reports.

The possibility of re-execution of arrest warrants by the Joint Investigation Headquarters has caused heavy tension in the area of the residence.

Police buses were lined up in duplicate, completely blocking the road to Hannam-dong's official residence, and police officers were deployed everywhere to control traffic.

Amid tight security, rallies for and against President Yoon's arrest also took place side by side.

Participants in the rally urged the security agency to immediately open its official residence and cooperate with the joint investigation headquarters.

[Choi Hee-heon / Shinwol-dong, Seoul: I was so angry that the arrest failed.... I found out this time that the security law is above the constitution.

Police prevented participants from marching in front of the official residence, and participants confronted the police, saying the restrictions were unfair, and then occupied all lanes.

Nearby, a conservative group held a counter-attack rally, shouting support for President Yoon.

[Anti-impeachment rally participant: I understand that there are security rules because I still have a position as president. Let go of that, let go of the boat, it's a problem you can't do....]

The two sides occasionally shouted and scuffled at each other, and the police set up car walls and fences to prepare for an emergency.

Until the 6th, the validity of the arrest warrant, tension in the official residence is not expected to go away.
