Wildfires in Samcheok, Gangwon Province...Evolved in 3 hours.

A forest fire broke out in Icheon-ri, Wondeok-eup, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do at around 5 p.m. today (4th).

Forest authorities deployed 38 vehicles and 180 personnel to extinguish all the lights in three hours.

Authorities are investigating the exact cause and the extent of the damage, estimating that a fire from a nearby house has spread to the hills.

Currently, the east coast of Gangwon-do, including Samcheok, is under dry warning.
