The Constitutional Court said there are no prestigious regulations regarding the "controversy over withdrawal of rebellion" in the impeachment trial of President Yoon Suk Yeol, and it is a matter to be judged by the court.
The Constitutional Court said in a regular briefing today in response to a related question.
He also explained that there was no such fact as some political circles argued that the crime of rebellion was withdrawn at the recommendation of the Constitutional Court.
The Constitutional Court also reaffirmed its policy to hold hearings on President Yoon's impeachment trial twice every Tuesday and Thursday.
He added that the designation of the hearing date up to five times was based on Article 30 (3) of the Constitutional Act and the rules of the judgment.
The Constitutional Court also plans to conduct a judge's review once a week, and the first hearing of President Yoon's impeachment will begin on the 14th.
