[Net] Jeju Island "Excluding half of vehicles subject to garage certification"

Jeju Island will ease the garage certificate system, which is in place to curb vehicle registration, from March, excluding 187,000 eco-friendly cars, light and small cars, multi-child families and severely disabled or guardian-owned cars.

However, as half of the vehicles subject to garage certification are excluded, some point out that the garage certification system may be retreating.

The garage certificate system is a system that allows car owners to secure a garage, and Jeju Island has expanded the target models since 2007 to restrict vehicle registration and secure parking spaces.
