The Haenam Branch of the Gwangju District Court acquitted Kim Shin-hye, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering her father in March 2000, saying there was no evidence of the crime.

The first trial retrial of Kim Shin-hye came in 10 years since the retrial was decided in 2015.

Kim was found guilty of feeding his father alcohol with sleeping pills in spite of his father's sexual harassment.

However, the retrial court said that the evidence seized from Kim's residence was illegally collected without a warrant, and that Kim denied all confession statements and had no evidence.

Also, it is difficult to say that there was sexual abuse, so there is no reason to kill that can be accepted.
Considering that the autopsy on the victim
found no signs of taking many drugs and that the blood alcohol level was 0.303%, drinking itself could be an independent cause of death.
