As the strong cold came down, the cold began again.
The strongest cold wave is expected to peak the morning after tomorrow, which is Thursday, but this time, the wind is strong, and the wind is expected to plunge the temperature in Seoul to minus 20 degrees Celsius.
While a heavy snowfall warning was issued in the western part of Honam, a lot of snow as high as 40cm was predicted in Jeonbuk until the day after tomorrow.
I'm connecting with the reporter.
Reporter Kim Min-kyung, let's first look into the cold wave situation.
The air was different this morning, how much did the temperature drop?
[Reporter]
Yes, the temperature in Seoul this morning was minus 5.7 degrees, which is about 8 degrees lower than yesterday.
Due to the cold wind, the wind chill was lower, reaching minus 10 degrees Celsius.
In Seoraksan Mountain in Yangyang, Gangwon-do, the temperature fell to minus 18.7 degrees Celsius, and the extreme cold of minus 10 degrees Celsius was rampant in many parts of the central part, including minus 15 degrees Celsius in Cheorwon and minus 11.9 degrees Celsius in Paju.
A cold wave warning is currently in effect in northern Gangwon and a cold wave warning is in effect in south-central Gangwon and northeastern Gyeonggi-do,
Strong winds issued strong wind warnings on the coast and Jeju Island, and wind and waves warnings on all seas.
During the day, the temperature in Seoul will rise to 1 degree Celsius, but the wind is strong, so the wind is expected to stay below zero.
This cold wave is getting stronger and will peak the day after tomorrow, which is Thursday.
The morning temperature in Seoul will drop to minus 6 degrees Celsius tomorrow and minus 12 degrees Celsius the day after tomorrow, and the cold wind will plunge to minus 20 degrees Celsius.
Even in the middle of the day, the cold feeling is expected to rise to minus 10 degrees Celsius.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) also said that there is a possibility of a cold wave warning for the first time this winter, and asked Seoul to pay attention to freezing and freezing accidents caused by cold waves.

Let's look at the snow situation as well.
It seems like it's still snowing a lot in the west of Honam, but it's pouring as much as 40cm by the day after tomorrow?
[Reporter]
Yes, heavy snow was predicted on the west coast again in the cold wave.
This is because the cold air, which reaches minus 40 degrees Celsius in the northwest, is expected to create a developed snow cloud as it passes through the West Sea.
Honam, including Jeonbuk, and the west coast south of Chungnam are the places where the most snow is predicted.
Even now, there is some heavy snow in the west of Honam, so a heavy snow warning is in effect.
Let's take a look at the real-time eye situation with the YTN disaster reporting system 'Idas'.
This is Gwangju Metropolitan City.
It's near the Seo-gu World Cup Stadium, and there's a lot of snow around it, and it's still pouring down.
Next is Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do.
It is near the Songsan intersection of National Route 1.
There are some thick snowflakes here as well.
The snow on the road melted, but the road is likely to be frozen due to low temperatures, so care should be taken in traffic safety.
By the day after tomorrow, more than 40cm of snow will fall in Jeonbuk, more than 20cm in Gwangju and Jeonnam and the west coast of Chungnam, 5 to 15cm in inland Chungnam, and 10 to 30cm in mountainous Jeju.
In particular, strong snow of 1 to 5cm per hour is expected to be concentrated overnight.
Heavy and strong snow is concentrated, and the snow accumulated by the cold wave can freeze as it is, making it heavier.
Please make sure to prepare thoroughly in advance to avoid damage to facilities.
