President-elect Trump held an unscheduled press conference. Again, foreign investment has been attracted.

[Reporter]
Yes. President-elect Trump held his second press conference in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on the morning of the 7th, here time.

The press conference was held after the certification process for the results of the presidential election was completed in the U.S. Congress yesterday local time.

Trump appeared at the press conference with Hussein Sajwani, chairman of UAE real estate developer Damak Asset.

Chairman Sajwani said at the meeting that he decided to invest $20 billion in building data centers across the United States and about 29 trillion won in our money.

It was held in the same format as a press conference on the 16th of last month when Softbank Group Chairman Son Jeong-ui announced an investment of $100 billion in the U.S.

After the investment announcement, the question and answer that drew attention was the Panama Canal and the Danish Greenland issue.

Trump, who last month called for a reduction in Panama Canal fees and said he could demand the return of the canal, said he was discussing the canal with Panama.

It also said it could not commit to excluding the use of force to secure control of Danish Greenland, which it said was interested in taking over with the Panama Canal.

Let's listen to it for ourselves.

[Journalist] Are you sure the world will not put military or economic pressure on (Greenland and Panama Canal) control?]

[Donald Trump/ U.S. President-elect] No.I can't be sure of either, but I can tell you that we need two places for economic security.

Trump's press conference was also focused on foreign companies' investment in the U.S., but Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Deok-geun will arrive in Washington today ahead of the inauguration, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, Minister Ahn Deok-geun first visited Georgia, where our companies have been entering since the 6th local time.

I met with Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, and called for support for South Korean companies that have invested in Georgia.

Along with visiting the SK-on-Georgia plant, we held a meeting with Korean companies such as Hyundai Motor and inspected the site such as the investment environment.

Minister Ahn, who arrives in Washington DC this evening local time, will meet with Republican lawmakers and federal government officials from tomorrow to seek to strengthen cooperation in industrial trade and energy.

In particular, as universal taxation and subsidies under the Inflation Reduction Act are expected ahead of Trump's inauguration, we plan to ask the U.S. Congress for support to ensure that Korean companies' investments are stable.

He is the highest-ranking official to visit the United States since last month's emergency martial law, and he is drawing attention as he visits about 10 days before Trump's inauguration.

In particular, attention is being paid to whether discussions will take place on cooperation in the South Korea-U.S. shipbuilding business, as Trump said in November that he would use allies to build U.S. Navy warships following comments that South Korea needed help in the U.S. shipbuilding industry.

So far, I've delivered it from Washington.
