[Incheon] Songdo Convensia had 1.06 million visitors last year...a turnaround in the black

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority said it held a total of 1,014 exhibitions and meetings in Songdo Convensia last year to achieve a cumulative total of 1,0610,801 visitors.

This is the largest number of events and visitors since its opening in 2008, and the economic ripple effect is estimated to reach 560.7 billion won.

Songdo Convensia's sales were 13.8 billion won, up 43.7% year-on-year, and net profit was 1.2 billion won, marking the first surplus.

Songdo Convensia has two conference rooms that can accommodate up to 1,800 people, four exhibition halls, and 35 small and medium-sized conference rooms.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority explained that it has increased its competitiveness by holding large-scale exhibitions such as Korea's drone fair and Incheon art show, as well as domestic and international events such as Korea's high-functioning Week and Asia-Pacific Wind Energy Summit.
