Cheongju cardiac arrest patient refused to transfer to 22 hospitals... to Suwon

In Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, a cardiac arrest patient in his 30s was moved to Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, after being denied transfer at 22 hospitals.

A woman in her 30s was reported to the fire department at around 2 a.m. yesterday (7th) at a shopping mall in Ochang-eup, Cheongju-si, that she was not breathing.

Mr. A's breathing returned with his boyfriend's CPR, but he was denied transfer from 22 places, including Chungcheong General Hospital, due to absence of medical treatment, while the paramedics were trying to transfer him to the hospital.

A was transferred to a general hospital in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, about 100km away within 3 hours and 30 minutes of reporting, and he is said to have regained consciousness just before arriving at the hospital.
