Actor Lee Hak-joo has been cast in "Newtopia."

The Coupang Play series "Newtopia" (directed by Yoon Sung-hyun / scripted by Han Jin-won, Ji Ho-jin) is based on Han Sang-woon's novel "Influenza" (published by Munhakdongne) and is a story of soldiers Jae-yoon (Park Jung-min) and Gomsin Yeong-ju (Ji-soo) running to each other across downtown Seoul, where zombies attacked.

Lee Hak-joo will play the role of Sung Tae-sik in the play and perform enthusiastically. Sung Tae-sik is a famous celebrity so-called "Alex" and the CEO of game company Alex Entertainment. It is a brain with sharp situational judgment and reasoning power, and it truly helps the lord who comes across it.

In the meantime, Lee Hak-joo has perfectly digested different characters in various genres such as dramas "LTNS," "Lovers," "Criminal Records," "Working City," "Now that It's Like This, I'm Going to Cheong Wa Dae," "My Name," "Private Life," "Late Night Men and Women," "The World of the Married," and "Melo Is the Constitution."

In particular, he impressed on the small screen as the charismatic villain "Jim Ji-seop" in the recently ended drama "Parole Examiner Lee Han-shin." I wonder what kind of character he will show through the zombie movie "Newtopia" that he will challenge for the first time.

The Coupang Play series "Newtopia," starring Lee Hak-joo, will be released on February 7.
