Last year, the average annual temperature in Daegu and Gyeongbuk was 14.5℃, the highest ever.

The Daegu Regional Meteorological Administration explained that the average annual temperature in Daegu and Gyeongbuk last year was 0.8℃ higher than the previous high of 13.7℃ in 2023 and 1.9℃ higher than the average temperature.

The unusually long summer high temperature is interpreted as the reason for the impact, with September's temperature recording 24.1℃, 4℃ higher than the average year.

The number of tropical nights per year also reached 15.9 days, nearly three times more than the average, which is 5.5 days.

The Daegu Meteorological Administration explained that last year's annual precipitation was 1,121mm, similar to the average year, but the trend of precipitation was different from the average year.

In general, 82.9 millimeters fell in February, the third-highest amount ever, and the second-lowest August precipitation ever recorded 65.5 millimeters.

The average temperature and precipitation of Daegu and Gyeongbuk uses observations from 11 points, including Daegu, Andong, Uljin, Pohang, Bonghwa, Yeongju, Mungyeong, Yeongdeok, Uiseong, Gumi, and Yeongcheon.
