The opposition party re-proposed the Insurrection Special Counsel Act, which was abolished after the National Assembly's re-vote, and revised the part that the ruling party has pointed out as a "poison clause."

As the number of votes to leave the ruling party increased compared to the first vote last month, the government put pressure on the government, leaving room for negotiations, but the people's power also began to discuss its own independent counsel.

When the Independent Counsel for Insurrection Act failed to pass the National Assembly threshold and was rejected in the re-deliberation vote, the Democratic Party of Korea made an amendment and submitted it to the National Assembly within a day.

After the ruling party failed to pass by only two votes, the number of votes to leave the ruling party increased compared to last month's vote, they started a race for speed.

[Park Chan-dae / Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea: It has been confirmed that they are a group that has no intention of protecting the constitutional order, democracy, and the rule of law. Like the destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, the power of the people is destined for destruction because there are no eight righteous men.

The parts pointed out by the ruling party have been largely reflected, and first, the authority to recommend candidates for the special prosecution will be given to a third party, the chief justice, not to the opposition party.

The opposition party also did not include the so-called "criticism right" to reject or re-recommend candidates for the special prosecution, and the investigation period and manpower were also reduced.

It is interpreted as a strategy to seek additional leave votes by removing the cause of the ruling party's opposition to the special prosecution, but added the charge of "foreign exchange crimes" that President Yoon used drones to induce attacks on North Korea at the time of martial law.

The power of the people, however, pointed out that the opposition party still has many problems, including related complaints and accusations, which could expand the scope indefinitely.

Instead, he made it clear that he would not be dragged into the Democratic Party offensive, saying he would start discussing his own independent special prosecution plan.

[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader: We will not negotiate out of fear. At the same time, we will not be afraid to discuss removing toxic clauses from the rejection bill. Let me begin an effective legislative discussion on the twin special prosecution law within the framework of the Constitution.]

{President Yoon's investigation and impeachment trial are progressing rapidly, and at the same time, opposition pressure is increasing, so in reality, it is easy to crack down on the leave vote.

The leadership's plan is to start discussions within the party before the opposition's amendment to the special prosecution is put to a vote at the plenary session again, and there is a possibility of discussion at the general meeting of the lawmakers as early as next week.

However, it is unclear whether it will lead to the actual submission of the special prosecutor's bill, as there are still quite a few objections to the special prosecution or uselessness within the party.

As a result, both the ruling and opposition parties have come up with their own compromises and conceded one step at a time, and a fierce battle is expected between the two sides before finding an actual contact point.
