With the re-execution of the arrest warrant for President Yoon Suk Yeol beginning to count down, the atmosphere for pro-impeachment rallies is also heating up.

Some supporters of President Yoon said they would protect the president by claiming to be a "white bone group" who suppressed the democratization movement during the military dictatorship.

On the day of the first cold wave warning in Seoul this winter, the road in front of the presidential residence in Hannam-dong was full of citizens even in the biting cold.

While the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the police are expected to soon execute the arrest warrant for President Yoon, the anti-impeachment group continued to wave the Korean national flag and the American flag in the wind.

Tensions are rising as some young supporters of President Yoon say they will create a civilian guard named after the "white bone corps," a plainclothes police unit that violently suppressed pro-democracy protests during the military dictatorship.

A nearby rally calling for impeachment was joined by the Marine Corps Reserve Regiment to call for the execution of arrest warrants.

They welcomed the acquittal of Colonel Park Jung-hoon, who was charged with defamation of mutiny and superiors in connection with the death of Chae Sang-byung, in the first trial.

Following the opposition to the impeachment, the pro-choice side has also begun a sit-in all night, and the confrontation in front of the residence is expected to continue until the execution of the arrest warrant.
