Kim Yo Jong "No change in route to strengthen nuclear force"...U.N. Secretary-General Resists Condemnation

2024.11.02 AM 07:52
Kim Yo-jong, the younger brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, stressed that he would not give up his nuclear force-enhancing line, saying, "There can be no change of route," in response to international criticism of the test-fire of a new intercontinental ballistic missile.

Kim made the remarks in a statement to the Korean Central News Agency, criticizing U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres' statement condemning North Korea's ICBM launch.

He then stressed that he should not do stupid things expecting change, and that he completely rejects Secretary-General Guterres' unfair and prejudicial attitude.

He pointed out, "Can peace really come if we unilaterally refrain from doing serious harm to countries that are hostile to us?"

In addition, he said, "Sanctions and pressure have only made us stronger."
