It's December in 15 days, but the temperature has stopped at the beginning of autumn.
The midday temperature in Seoul is 22.6 degrees.
This is the highest record ever as of mid-November, more than 11 degrees above normal.
Daytime temperatures last Monday (11th) and Friday (15th) have also been observed at 21.8 degrees and 21.5 degrees, respectively, three times this year since 1907.
Not only Seoul, but also Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, and Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, rewrote the highest temperature ever recorded in mid-November.
Some southern regions, such as Busan, Gyeongnam, and Jeonnam, were well over 24 degrees.
[Kim Hwa-dong / Gwangjin-gu, Seoul: Due to the weather that is not like autumn, I would have taken out my padded jacket a year ago, but I have never taken out my padded jacket now.]
Autumn, which came late in warm weather and stayed late, is now ending.
This is because the mobile anticyclone that brought in the warm air from the south recedes, and the continental anticyclone comes down with the cold air from the northwest.
Both morning and daytime temperatures today (17th) will drop by nearly 10 degrees from yesterday (16th), and will fall below zero from Monday.
[Yoon Ik-sang / Forecaster of the Korea Meteorological Administration: Temperatures will drop below freezing in the morning, especially in the central and southern interior on Monday morning, with strong winds, making it even colder.]Temperatures falling by
will gradually recover from Wednesday, exceeding the average level, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicted.
