The Army announced that it is conducting the "Second half of 2024 Army International Course" at Sangmu University in Jeollanam-do and Jawun University College of Medicine in Daejeon for three weeks from the 18th.
Education is about the Army teaching how to operate K9 self-propelled artillery and K2 tanks to countries that have purchased or wish to purchase a domestic weapons system, and the number of participating countries has more than doubled compared to the first half of July.
As a result, 35 people from seven countries, including Romania, Qatar, Turkiye, and Vietnam, participated in the education, as well as Poland, Australia, and Egypt, and new K2 tanks and K9 self-propelled artillery maintenance courses were opened in artillery, mechanization, and military schools.
In particular, the Army said it is providing high-quality education by participating beginner executives as mentors and putting veteran instructors in the K2 tank and K9 self-propelled artillery maintenance process opened at the request of foreign troops.
Army Chief of Staff Park An-soo emphasized that the international course promotes the excellence of K-defense and contributes to the expansion of defense cooperation, while providing an opportunity for participating beginner officials and foreign military trainees to grow together.
