North Korea and Russia signed a protocol containing the contents of sports exchanges next year and decided to continue the trend of strengthening cooperation in the sports sector.
The Korean Central News Agency reported that Sports Minister Kim Il-guk and Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degcharev met at the Mansudae Capitol and signed the "2025 Sports Exchange Protocol."
The news agency did not disclose details, but the Russian Embassy in North Korea announced the sports minister's visit to North Korea on the 22nd and explained that it will sign an exchange agreement between the two countries, including joint sports events and training professional personnel.
Russia's sports ministry also said in a press release in September that North Korea and Russia are preparing exchange agreements in 16 sports and are scheduled to sign them in Pyongyang in November.
