Choo Kyung-ho, Democratic Party of Korea's legal action plan to release recordings of 2 billion won

Floor leader Choo Kyung-ho of the People's Power announced legal action against the Democratic Party of Korea, which released a recording of Myung Tae-kyun, over allegations that he received 2 billion won from a candidate for the head of a local government in exchange for nomination in the 2018 local elections.An official from the floor leader

said he would file a complaint with the Democratic Party of Korea as soon as the party's legal advisory committee reviews it.

In March 2022, the Democratic Party released a recording of a conversation between Myung and an acquaintance, and it was suspected that A, the candidate for the head of a local government, handed over 2 billion won to Choo to nominate him for the 2018 local elections.

In response, floor leader Choo met with reporters at the National Assembly and refuted the allegations, saying that he first learned about Myung as the controversy arose, and that the allegations were absurd and fake news.
