On the 16th of local time, Israeli forces launched another airstrike in the Lebanese capital of Beirut despite concerns from the United States.

Israeli forces bombed Dahiye, a Hezbollah stronghold in Beirut's southern suburbs, with air force fighters earlier in the day.

Six days after the 10th, the Israeli military claimed in a statement that "Hezbollah attacked strategic weapons stored in underground facilities."

Prior to the airstrike, he posted a map on social media showing the expected area of the operation, calling for evacuation, saying in Arabic, "a new emergency alert has been issued for residents of Beirut's southern suburbs, especially those living in buildings in the Harrett-Hlake area."

In particular, the airstrike came not long after the U.S. expressed concern about Israeli airstrikes in Beirut.

"We have made it clear to the Israeli government that the bombing operation we have seen in Beirut over the past few weeks is something we are concerned about and against," U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at a briefing the day before.
