Regarding President Yoon Suk Yeol's alleged involvement in the nomination, Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon said, "It is a serious crime, and it is no longer time to hide behind the secretary's office," adding, "President Yoon should explain or explain himself to the public."

Governor Kim, who is visiting Europe, urged the president to express his position on the alleged intervention of the nomination in his speech, saying on social media, "The November 4th speech should be held in front of the people and should not be passed on to the 'Prime Minister of Germany'.
