At the inauguration ceremony, Lee Jae-myung predicted that the election of U.S. President Donald Trump will likely change the world order, and that "America First" will have a big impact on our economy.

He then pointed out that the Korean government's response is very regrettable at a time when it will not be enough to devote all of its national capabilities to the people's livelihood and economic recovery.

At the same time, he asked the advisory council to find effective policies, suggest them to the government, and prepare them to consult with the ruling party, asking them to find a way for our economy to move forward and for the low-income economy to revive.

Former lawmaker Hong Sung-guk, who chaired the Economic Advisory Council, said the economic situation is too severe and that he will periodically deliver discussions and policy alternatives to the party leadership so that they can be reflected in the policy.
