Democratic Party of Korea Chairman Lee Jae-myung delivered a congratulatory letter to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump through the U.S. Embassy in Korea, said Kang Sun-woo, chairman of the Democratic Party's international committee.

Chairman Kang explained that the letter from Representative Lee contained the hope that the two countries would closely cooperate and deal with various tasks surrounding the Korean Peninsula.

In addition, the letter also said that the U.S. expects cooperation in various fields such as diplomacy and economy, as well as the role of the U.S. for the East Asian region.
