Breaking News "Kim's Special Prosecutor Act" passed by the opposition-led Judiciary Committee...referral to the plenary session

Kim Gun-hee's Special Prosecutor Act, the third proposed by the Democratic Party of Korea, passed the National Assembly's Legislative and Judiciary Committee.

The Judiciary Committee held a general meeting and voted for the independent counsel law led by the opposition party.

The Special Prosecutor's Act targets 14 allegations, including Kim's alleged manipulation of Deutsche Motors' stock price and manipulation of state affairs.

People's Power lawmakers applied for a referral to the agenda adjustment committee in protest of the opposition party's single handling, but passed the committee with the opinion of the opposition 4th and the ruling party 2.
