Trump names 27-year-old Caroline Leavitt as White House press secretary

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has selected 27-year-old Caroline Levitt, a spokeswoman for the presidential campaign, as the next White House press secretary.

Trump said Levitt has done an amazing job as a spokesman for his historic campaign, describing him as a smart, tough, and highly capable communication expert.

Levitt would become the youngest White House press secretary ever if appointed, the Associated Press reported.

Levitt also served on the White House press team during the first Trump administration.
