The Jeju-do Federation of the National Farmers' Association held a press conference in front of the Jeju Provincial Government and urged them to come up with measures to deal with climate disasters.
The organization said that the buckwheat germination phenomenon was not kept by the authorities' promise to add it to the crop disaster insurance items, and that it was conducting a slow investigation into the heat, fall and damage of red incense caused by the heat, and that soybeans and spring radishes were also damaged by high temperatures and frequent rain.
The federation demanded that Governor Oh Young-hoon come up with real measures for the future of Jeju's agriculture, saying that the authorities do not play any role in the damage of Jeju's representative crops due to climate disasters.
