It was the same place where the fire broke out on the 10th, and the fire broke out again in two weeks, but no casualties were reported.

Yes, a fire broke out at POSCO Pohang Steelworks in Steel-dong, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do at around 11:10 last night (24th).

The factory that caught fire is the Pohang Steelworks 3 Finex plant, where the fire broke out on the 10th.

In about 15 days, another fire broke out in the same place.

Nearby residents said there was a lot of smoke at the POSCO plant with a bang.

No casualties have been reported yet, and the extent or cause of the damage has not been confirmed.

When the fire broke out, fire authorities are currently mobilizing 51 firefighters and 21 equipment to extinguish it.

The fire department explained that the big fire was contained at around 0:17 for now.

However, due to the nature of the steel plant, it is expected to take some time to completely extinguish the fire as it has to be completely extinguished after checking the completeness of the plant.

A fire broke out at the Pohang Steelworks 3 Finex plant on the 10th, causing one employee to be burned and the facility was damaged.

Since then, the 3 Finex plant has been restarted on the 19th, but the fire has broken out again, raising the possibility of a plant suspension.
