During the 2021 by-elections, a phone recording of a businessman suspected of paying for Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon's poll was released that tried to coax Myung Tae-kyun.

Mayor Oh said it had nothing to do with him and warned that he would take legal action against speculative pornography.

Kang Hye-kyung, who revealed that she received polling expenses from a businessman who sponsored Mayor Oh Se-hoon in the past ahead of the Seoul mayoral by-election three years ago, raised additional suspicions of conciliation.

Two months ago, businessman Kim released a recording of the call through the media, in which he gave a large amount of money to Myung Tae-kyun and said to cover up the case.

The phone call is immediately after allegations of manipulation of public opinion and intervention in nominations by Myung emerged.

[Moon Gun-il / Kang Hye-kyung's lawyer: (Is it true that Oh Se-hoon tried to cajole and pay for it?) There was a report, so the details will be later....]

The Democratic Party of Korea immediately launched an all-round offensive by catching allegations that Yeouido Institute, the Institute of People's Power Policy, had asked Myung to conduct a poll in the past.

[Cho Seung-rae / Senior spokesman for the Democratic Party of Korea: Chairman Kim, a supporter of Mayor Oh Se-hoon, said, "We can't kill the power of the people." The longer the silence, the more the way the people's power will survive will disappear.]

With the people's power refraining from responding at the party level, Mayor Oh strongly opposed Kang Hye-kyung, saying she was providing material for speculative harm.

He even hinted at legal action, saying he never asked Myung for a poll or received it.

[Oh Se-hoon / Mayor of Seoul: Why do we need such a poll?] It's just on the news every morning, so why pay for it, and what do you ask me to do?]

Kim, a businessman who said he paid for the poll, said he was just one of the numerous sponsors, stressing that he had nothing to do with the election camp at the time, even if he worked to help him.He said he only met with

three years ago, introduced by former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, and asked him to reveal to whom he handed it over if he had conducted an unpublished poll for himself by the end of this week.
