bullpen pitcher Kim Kang-ryul, who was released as a free agent from professional baseball Doosan, signed with LG.
LG announced that it has signed a contract with Kim Kang-ryul for up to 1.4 billion won, including down payment and annual salary, for up to four years, including one year of option.
Kim Kang-ryul, who joined in 2007, played 448 games in Doosan alone, recording 26 wins and 14 losses, 46 saves, 56 holds, and a 3.81 ERA.
He also played as a must-winner for the team this season with 12 holds and a 3.00 ERA in 53 games.
LG succeeded in reinforcing the bullpen by recruiting Jang Hyun-sik and Kim Kang-ryul in the FA market.
Doosan offered Kim Kang-ryul a smaller total amount for up to three years, including one year of option.
In addition to LG and Doosan, Samsung is also said to have participated in the recruitment of Kim Kang-ryul.
