The Japanese media also broke the news of the Korean National Assembly's passing of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk Yeol.

Some broadcasts, including private broadcaster Nihon Terevi (Nittere), broadcasted the vote counting process in real time and said, "The impeachment bill was approved," adding, "However, confusion is expected to continue."

NHK reported the news of the approval on its website and published a prepared article, saying, "It is the first time in Korea that the impeachment of the president has been passed since President Park Geun Hye in 2016."

NHK added, "The impeachment motion did not include the phrase in the first impeachment motion, 'I insisted on a bizarre Japanese-centered foreign policy'.
