Son Jeong-ui, chairman of Japan's Softbank Group, met with U.S. President-elect Trump and said he would invest 100 billion dollars in the U.S. and 143.6 trillion won in our money.

At a joint press conference held at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida on the 16th local time, Son said that Trump's victory has increased confidence in the U.S. economy tremendously.

Trump says he will invest $100 billion in SoftBank and create at least 100,000 American jobs, a monumental sign of confidence in the country's future.

He also said the investment would help artificial intelligence AI and emerging technologies be created and developed in the United States, and that Son kept his $5 billion investment promise during his first term in office.

CNBC reported that Son's announced investment will last four years under Trump's second administration, and that already announced investments, including $1.5 billion in ChatGPT, could be included in the total amount of investment.
