Choi Sang-mok said, "Preparation for next year's budget is the top priority."

Regarding the opposition's demand for an extra budget plan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Sang-mok said, "Since the budget has not been passed and has not been implemented yet, the top priority is to faithfully prepare the budget to be implemented properly from January next year."

Deputy Prime Minister Choi attended an emergency questioning session of the National Assembly's Strategy and Finance Committee today and said, "I understand that there are many opinions on the supplementary budget."

Deputy Prime Minister Choi said, "I fully agree with the perception that the government should play an active role because people's livelihoods are difficult and external uncertainties are growing," adding, "We will continue to review appropriate countermeasures next year while looking at various external uncertainties and public welfare situations."
