Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the People's Power Policy Committee, pointed out that the Democratic Party of Korea's demand for the government to draw up an additional supplementary budget should never be indiscriminate cash-spraying waste.
In the end, the Democratic Party's demand is to secure the local currency budget again, and the wrong extra budget will inevitably cause side effects due to worsening fiscal soundness, Kim said at the floor meeting.
"What we need to do now is not to create an extra budget, but to accelerate the government's economic policy direction this year and accelerate the early implementation of the budget," he said, stressing that the urgent thing at this point is to pass bills on people's livelihoods.
Specifically, he urged prompt action, citing the "K Chips Act," which increases the tax credit rate for large semiconductor companies and small and medium-sized companies, and the revision of the Restriction of Special Taxation Act, which includes expanding the yellow umbrella deduction for small business owners.
