Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon meets with U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Korea... "reaffirming the will to cooperate in the economy."

Governor of Gyeonggi-do Province Kim Dong-yeon held a special meeting with the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 'Amcham' today (8th) to discuss ways to strengthen economic cooperation between South Korea and the U.S.

Amcham member companies such as 3M, Applied Materials Korea, Bloom Energy Korea, Coupang, Korea E-Callab, and UL Solutions attended the meeting to share their opinions on ways to expand investment opportunities and attract multinational companies.

Governor Kim promised to create an optimal environment to focus on corporate activities, saying, "Gyeonggi Province will actively cooperate in high-tech industries such as Amcham, semiconductors, future cars, and bio to create a vibrant and sustainable business ecosystem."

James Kim, Chairman and CEO of AmCham, emphasized, "Korea has great potential to grow into an economic hub in the Asia-Pacific region of multinational companies, but to realize this, we need to solve challenges such as clarity of regulation and establishing a stable investment environment."

Governor Kim Dong-yeon then met with Philip Van Hoop, chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK), to discuss economic cooperation between European companies and Gyeonggi Province.

The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea is an association of European and Korean businessmen with about 400 member companies, with 18 industry committees, including automobiles, cosmetics, and energy.
