The "trick" application, which violated the regulation of accepting up to three applications for admission in recruiting new students at private elementary schools in Seoul, has been canceled.
The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education said it joined the private elementary association's full investigation and checked IP addresses and photos of applications and canceled applications from applicants who received more than four schools.
Seoul Private Elementary School can apply for admission to up to three schools after entering the student's birth date and name through the application agency, Entrance Apply, and mobile phone authentication of adults such as parents.
However, on the 12th, the Office of Education and others took action after receiving a complaint that applications were made to more than four schools on mobile phones of several people, including mothers and fathers.
In the meantime, 27,269 people applied to 38 private elementary schools in Seoul from the 8th to the 13th, recording an average competition ratio of 7.5 to 1.
