After deciding not to attend the Sado mine memorial ceremony held by Japan, the Korean government has decided to hold a separate memorial event at the site tomorrow.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will hold a separate memorial service tomorrow at 9 a.m. to console the victims of the Sado mine at the Korean dormitory.
The event will be attended by Korean government officials, including the ambassador to Japan, and the bereaved families of the victims of the Sado mine.
Earlier, the South Korean government declared its absence a day before the memorial service, judging that the Japanese side decided to send a person with a history of worshiping Yasukuni as a representative of the government.
